Made in San Juan Chamula, Chiapas by Tzotzil women the wool animals are hand crafted with the remmants of the cloths woven for the family and were given to children as toys.
Usually wool is obtained withing their community from their own sheeps, the wool is washed, carded and spinned then it is dyed and hand woven in back strap loom. After the cloth is made the animal is shaped, hand sewed and stuffed.
